Hello, I recently updated Itunes to 12.6 and one of my favorite accessories, the itunes visualizer, doesn't work anymore. I can still launch it but the animation shows highly blurred and pixelized. Moreover, I can only launch the classic Itunes visualizer and the itunes visualizer.

The three other ones just disapeared. I assume this has been decided by the apple team, I just wonder why, they were so great!Still, I would really like that you solve this pixelization problem, since the classic visualizer was my favorite one anyway.Thank you!
I just got off the phone with Apple Support. The representative could not verify whether the visualizer has been disabled for third party developers or not. His stance was a hardline that if the two visualizers that were in the app were there were working, they had no further obligation to make anything else work. They referred me to the third party developer for the product I paid for. There are a few issues I have with this approach. The first is that once trust is betrayed, it's extremely hard to get it back.
I am not going to be as eager to spend any money for anther third party application again. I'm also going to be a lot more cautious about updates and upgrades. As in, I'm turning off anything that updates automatically. The representative suggested that I leave feedback, and hope that they reimplement the feature.
I can't imagine being a developer and being subject to such an unfair process. With your issue loucasbkk, while the visualizer is running, press the? That should give you some options. Cycle through whatever is there and you might find that you have a setting that is off. Alternatively, your system may be set for automatically switching between the graphics processors, I'm not sure what system you have, but to use the higher-performance discrete graphics processor at all times, choose Apple menu System Preferences and click Energy Saver. Then deselect the automatic graphics switching checkbox. If you don't see the automatic graphics switching option, your computer has one graphics system.Good luck, I hope this helps you.
Okay: I've done more sleuthing and have discovered that Apple has indeed disabled third party visualizers for 12.x on any OS before Sierra. Why the Apple representative wouldn't tell me this is beyond me. It would have been a simple confirmation and a quick call.In any case, the only real option I've been able to find, like so many solutions relative to Apple these days, is to revert to an older version.
Back when things worked as we wanted them to. Here's a link to a MacWorld article that tells you how.Good luck. One more step to making this work. You have to turn off SIP (at last in El Cap).I have verified that my visualizers work, iTunes seems to work (it plays music), and the old Apple visualizers are back too (Jelly, Lathe, and the other one).
There is an odd behavior though, and I'm not sure how much of the rest of my system this is going to affect, when I quit iTunes, I get a crash error.I let them know in the comment box that I had to revert to an older version to overcome their (now validated) crippling of third party visualizers.Hope this helps everyone. Don't forget to turn SIP back on. I also turned off 'automatically check for updates,' because updates are what cost me a day of downtime to recover a feature I use regularly.
